Detoxing the body
Magnesium sulfate (or magnesium sulphate) is a natural occuring chemical compound containing magnesium, sulfur and oxygen.
Our epsom salt does not contain any additives is suited for both internal as external use.
Internal use
Epsom salt has strong laxative properties and can be used to flush out bowels (common hospital treatment in e.g. preparation of colon examination).
Also, it cleanses the liver.
You might want to take it with apple juice as it has a bitter taste which may not be to everyones taste.
External use
Magnesium sulfate is used in bath salts for treating muscle and joint aches, combating stress and alleviating pains; also great in footbaths to treat sore feet. The high magnesium content in Epsom salt baths facilitates the removal of acids through the skin. They are therefore a wonderful natural treatment for a large range of ailments associated with magnesium deficiency throughout the body.
Magnesium sulfate can also be absorbed into the skin, reducing inflammation.
Magnesium sulfate paste has been used as an agent for dehydrating (drawing) boils, carbuncles, and abscesses.
Magnesium sulfate solution has also been shown to be an effective aid in the fight against blemishes and acne when applied directly to problematic areas, usually in poultice form. If combined with water and made into a cream, it can be applied to the face to remove blackheads.
Extra
