Beautiful pendant of the Icelandic thor figurine Eyrarland
This very beautifully elaborated pendant in bronze is a perfect replica of the Eyarland thor figurine.
The Eyrarland statue is a bronze statue of a seated thor holding his hammer Mjöllnir in the typical Icelandic cross-like shape. The original statue dates back to around 1000 AD and is now prominently displayed in the National Museum of Iceland.
The statue may represent the Norse god Thor from the poetic Edda poem Þrymskviða and/or be a game piece on a game board.
