Collected from the Chihuahua desert (Mexico)
A desert rose, also called sand rose, is a mixture of gypsum and sand grains.
Desert roses are formed in deserts where groundwater with the proper minerals, i.e. gypsum and /or barite, rises to the surface and evaporates.
Desert Roses are popular among collectors of minerals, first of all for their ambiguous nature, it is not a pure mineral nor is it a rocksformation, and also because each stone is unique.
Each stone has a personal charisma and will become a beautiful but discreet attention point in any room.
