Making tea Japanese style

This teaset contains a kyusu and two yunomis, both made out of high quality white porcelain.
This set is not only sophisticated and modern but also ideal for brewing tea, specifically designed to be convenient and easy to use.
The white colour will accentuate the different shades of colours characteristic for each Japanese green tea.

A kyusu (Japanese for 'teapot') is a traditional Japanese teapot mainly used for brewing green tea.
A yunomi is a form of teacup,  being taller than wide, with a trimmed or turned foot. Unlike the more formal chawan tea bowl which is used during the Japanese tea ceremony, the yunomi is made for daily (or informal) tea drinking.

This Kyusu holds 280ml, perfect for 1 - 2 people.
The removable mesh filter basket is very deep and wide, and as it sits close to the bottom of the Kyusu, even when you brew only one cup or a small amount of tea, the tea leaves have space to fully open and infuse the water with rich green tea flavor.
The high-quality stainless steel mesh is fine, which is perfect for all kinds of tea leaves, even those that are quite small and can slip through coarse filters.
The lid is large, so it is easy to dispose of used tea leaves.

Because of the generous size of 140ml, these yunomi cups are convenient for when you would like to drink a little more green tea.
The slight outward curve of the rim helps one to taste Japanese tea flavorfully and the silhouette from middle to base makes it easy to hold this cup with poise.
