Cosmic thunderbolt
This symbol represents a thunderbolt and is called Vajra in Sanscrite and Dorje in Tibetan. It symbolises the male, the undestructable and the healing powers. The vajra is held in the right hand.
Used in unison with a bel called Ghanta or Dril Bhu, representing the female, the wisdom and the cosmic emptiness. The gantha is held in the left hand.
