The Flying Plum Tree
This encense is named after Tobiume or Flying Plum Tree, one of Japans most famous plum trees.
The tree stands in the Dazaifu Tenmangu (Fukuoka, Japan), a shrine dedicated to the poet and scolar Michizane Sugawara.
Available in 50 and 150 grams.
A modern mix of Indonesian aloeswood, Chinese and other herbs like cloves and cinnamon.
A very accessable aloeswood incense, rich and grounding yet light and soft.
This incense bridges classical Japan with the modern world.
Excellent for daily use, but also try it when meditating or when special guests come to visit.
150 gram, approx. 500 sticks (14 cm long)
Baieido has been producing high quality incense since 1657.
Only natural ingredients are used which burn cleanly with little or no smoke and no toxic fumes.
Baieido's incense is like opening a door and finding, to our joy, an old friend waiting there.
In this way it is good fortune to sit quietly, relax, and perhaps sip some tea while enjoying the exquisite offerings of fine Japanese incense.
