The silent force of Buddha
This painting on canvas depicts Buddha with his right hand in the Prithvi mudra.
The artist has made a copy of an existing image, paint on canvas, and althought it is not an 'original' painting, the artist has put enough own nuances in the work to make it unique.
The canvas is coated in a bas-relief underground giving it dimention and the paint is added on.
The artist is skilled enough to give the painting depth and perspective; you never get bored looking at it!
In its face you find the silent force of Buddha.
Can be hung as is, but framing the painting is preferred.
Symbolism
The Prithvi mudra increases energy, fosters a sense of inner stability and self-assurance but without increasing the ego, strenghtens the relationship between body and mind.
The colour of gold (yellow) stands for restraining and nourishing, and it symbolises the transformation of pride into wisdom of sameness.
