How does a Lyapko acupuncture massage roller work?
Stimulating the skin with non-invasive needles activates a series of complex physiological processes that contribute to skin improvement, wound healing and overall well-being.
By regularly stimulating the skin with our rollers, you can improve skin quality, relieve pain and stimulate the immune system.
It all starts with the special needles, an alloy of iron, copper, nickel, zinc and silver, with tips that are made in such a way that they prick the skin but do not pierce it. This allows you to work safely.
The metal alloy also provides a galvanic current; this is a very light electric direct current that is caused by the natural voltage difference between the metals and the contact with the skin.
This current is not directly felt, but it does have an effect on the tissue that comes into contact with it.
The needles are firmly encased in high-quality rubber suitable for medical purposes and the handles are ergonomic so they fit well in your hand.

How do you use a Lyapko acupuncture massage roller?
These rollers are easy and safe to use, and you don't need any specific prior knowledge.
- The rollers can be used on any part of the body, but avoid sensitive skin areas and do not use it on and around the eyes. Also, do not immediately treat damaged skin, varicose veins, skin irritations or other skin conditions.
- Roll in a straight line over the skin, lateral use gives a rather scratchy smooth that is not pleasant to the touch.
- It is better to do larger surfaces instead of rolling in the same place for a long time; However, you can safely treat selected problem areas extra times. If possible, do a full body treatment.
- Adjust the pressure on the skin according to your own feeling and place of treatment; The roller can be used on soft tissue, but it is also recommended on joints (reduce the pressure on these areas).
- Preferably not to be used as a deep tissue or trigger point massager.
- Roll over the selected zone for about 5 minutes to obtain the effect. Feel for yourself when you have rolled enough, the treated area will feel warm and tingly and turn slightly red. A few minutes is usually enough, but you can go on longer if you need to.
- If necessary, repeat the treatment after a few hours to reactivate the effect.
- After the treatment, the skin is perfectly ready for a massage with massage oil and essential oil, magnesium spray, hydrosols, body lotion...
- Drink enough water to be able to dispose of the waste properly.
How do you maintain a massage roller?
Due to their high quality of medical rubber and non-corrosive metals, the Lyapko rollers are easy to maintain.
The rollers only need minimal care: periodically rinsing with some warm water (possibly a soft soapy water) is sufficient. Then blow the roller dry with a hairdryer so that no moisture remains on the roller before you put it away.
If you use the roller on different people, you can spray a good disinfectant such as our Natural Disinfectant with Rosemary on the needles for hygienic reasons between treatments.
Take care not to damage the needles, do not drop the roller and put it away in a safe place.
With proper use and maintenance, the lifetime of the roller is at least 5 - 7 years.
